NEAC Annual Report for 2003

The National Ethics Advisory Committee (NEAC) is an independent advisor to the Minister of Health on ethical issues of national significance concerning health and disability. As required by its Terms of Reference, and the work programme it agreed with the Minister of Health in 2002, NEAC has in 2003 given priority to its review of the system of ethical review of health and disability research in New Zealand. The Committee presented its findings and recommendations from this review to the Minister in December 2003.
